Hello Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh Members!
It’s that time of year again—an exciting opportunity for creativity, strategic planning, and official business as we come together for our Annual Members Meeting & Board Director Elections on April 6 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Velum Fermentation, located at 2120 Jane St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. This gathering is essential for shaping the future of our Guild, and your participation is key!
Annual Members Meeting Agenda
Artist Trading Card Creation (2:00 pm – 2:30 pm):
We’ll begin our meeting with a burst of creativity through Artist Trading Card creation. Supplies will be provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own materials to infuse your personal style into the mix. Our goal is to create enough to give each Fiberart International Artist 3-4 handmade creations in their swag bags. We are currently halfway to our goal at 28 finished cards!
Strategic Planning Session (2:30 pm – 3:30 pm):
Following our creative kickoff, we’ll dive into a one-hour session dedicated to strategic planning. This is your chance to help shape the Guild’s vision and set meaningful goals for the next fiscal year. We encourage you to share your ideas, propose new initiatives, and offer valuable feedback that can guide our future endeavors. We will provide an extra large timeline and colorful post-its to aid in the planning!
Official Business & Elections (3:30 pm – 4:00 pm):
In the final segment, we will address official business, including the election of new board members and expressions of gratitude to our outgoing board. We are excited to present the list of nominees for the Board of Directors: Jasmine Davis, Kaleb Noble, Sandy Alexander, Sam Milford, and Theodore Maringer. Our Nominating Committee nominees include Martha Daniels, Miranda Crotsley, and Joday Joseph. We wish to acknowledge the dedicated efforts of our Nominations Committee members, who have worked diligently to ensure a smooth and transparent process. Thank you!
Plus a few surprises!
This Annual Members Meeting isn’t just a meeting—it’s a celebration of our shared passion for fiber arts, an opportunity to engage with peers, and a platform for collaborative decision-making. Your input during our planning session will play a vital role in guiding our projects and initiatives for the upcoming year. By actively participating, you’re contributing directly to the continued growth and vibrancy of our community.
So mark your calendars and join us on April 6 for an afternoon filled with creativity, collaboration, and community spirit. We look forward to shaping a bright colorful future together!
Warmly,
Staci Offutt
