Dewi has served in various committees for the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh and Fiberarts International. She is also a member of the International Organization of Lace, the International Bobbin and Needle Lace Organization (OIDFA), and the Pittsburgh Lace Group. As a fiber artist, she incorporates various lace techniques, embroidery and beading in her works.
