Natural Dye Mini Workshop with Natural Yarns

This casual outdoor workshop will give you a glimpse at the world of exciting, accessible, and sustainable natural dyes, with a focus on yarn. We will discuss and explore different techniques to accomplish your most desired colors. Everyone will leave with a bouquet of yam samples and instructions to create your own colorful adventure at home.

There is a lot of interest in Natural dyeing, but it may or may not be something you want to set up at home. During this two hour tutorial, you can learn the basics and experiment with natural dyes with your own natural yarns.

Diane Meyer Morrisey has a complete multi floor indoor/outdoor studio just off Old Perry Highway not far from the “city”. She invites you to visit her studio, watch and participate as she demonstrates and produces a range of colors created by natural dyes on natural fibers. Learn about over-dyeing and about exhaust dyeing too!
