If you are looking for kind, supportive feedback on your work as you prepare to submit to Soulbeats or another exhibition, please join members Carolyn Carson and Mary Towner as they host a group critique session as a special offering during Fiber Sunday. Bring the work you plan on entering in Soulbeats, or any other work that you would like to have critiqued.
We will work together as a group to give input, answer questions and provide guidance. While this is a more intense approach than typical “Show & Share” events, it is still completely driven by the artist. We will all follow the lead of the artist, answering their specific questions related to the work. It is a wonderful learning experience as we help each other. Even if you do not want to bring work, please come! There is so much to learn by just watching and participating in the discussion process as we all work together and help each other improve our work!!
NOTE: Fiber group meetings will also meet as usual during this first hour.
3:00 – 4:00 pm Weaving Patterns & Structures with David Anderson
Explore patterns & structures in weaving with Guild member David Anderson. This hands-on talk will let you get up close and personal with weaving samples so you can see a variety of different structures and patterns. Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced weaver, you’ll get the chance to better understand how weave structures work.
4:00 – 5:00 pm Show and Share
Bring your latest work or in-progress project to share with fellow Guild members. This informal show & share gives you a chance to talk about your most recent work, share your process, or even ask for feedback if you would like.
