FGP Community Celebration
November 3 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Did you participate in Knit the Bridge? Crochet a flower for Pop des Fleurs? Add your embroidery to Pittsburgh’s Calico Dress? Contribute to Delli Speers’s fence (Wright’s Way) in the South Side? Take part in the Pole to Polls Vote sign project?
Join us as we celebrate the Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh’s community-building art installations that have become a part of Pittsburgh’s rich arts history in the last decade!
Pieces from each installation will be on display, as well as the entire Pittsburgh Calico Dress.
There will be dessert to eat and friends all around. Velum Fermentation is a family friendly environment with activities and games for all ages. Bring the whole family to celebrate fiber art!
Honor a Guild Member
As part of our celebration, the Guild will honor some of our members with a new tradition . . . the First Annual Guild Awards! Do you know someone who’s made an impact with volunteer efforts and community building? Nominate them by contacting Staci Offutt with a brief description of their nominee’s contribution.
Velum Fermentation has TWO entrances: the main entrance on Jane Street and an accessible entrance on Mary Street (look for a sign for Ascend Climbing Gym).
This event is free, but please let us know you are coming.
