Presentation by Carl Johnson, Weaver and Sculptor from Washington, DC who is currently an Artist in Residence at Contemporary Craft here in Pittsburgh. He weaves with cotton and steel wire on the loom to create sculptures. See photos. He received a BFA from The Savannah College of Art and Design. He has also worked at The Peters Valley School for Craft as the “fibers studio assistant” and completed a residency at the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. He is also #87, a star player on the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds
