Guild Members are finalists in Art of the State

Fiberarts Guild of Pittsburgh members Patty Kennedy-Zafred, Margaret Black, and Sue Reno are finalists in the Art of the State exhibit, held at the State Museum in Harrisburg, PA. This is a very competitive exhibit, featuring artists from across the state in several categories, including Craft. This year the exhibit has been hung in the Museum, but will start out virtually with the hope the Museum will be able to open during its run. The press release is here:

Sasha Heinsaar’s Lockdown Knitting Project Takes Home Crafting to a New Level

“As she had been so looking forward to learning to knit industrially, Heinsaar was “devastated” when COVID-19 closed classrooms. Back home, she found there were unexpected possibilities in limitation; in fact, she discovered a rope technique she might never have done otherwise, and with little at hand, made pieces with major impact.”
