The theme of our Fiberart International 2016 fundraiser is In Bloom, a celebration of the exotic, magnificent, exuberant, mysterious, fragrant, and often symbolic world of flowers. The In Bloom exhibition invites our members to explore floral themes using any fiber techniques and materials that display creativity and excellent craftsmanship.
Your participation and support in the important fund-raising project for FI16 is vitally needed! By submitting to In Bloom, not only will your art work be displayed at the Spinning Plate Gallery in the month of March 2016, but the photograph will be printed in a 100-page journal (dimensions 5.25” by 7.25”) and the proceeds will be used for FI2016. Be inspired by nature! Explore floral themes using any fiber techniques and materials that display creativity and excellent craftsmanship!

Artists should contact In Bloom Co-Chairs (inbloomfgp@gmail.com) for feedback on whether their artwork will be a fit for this show.
  • During the time of the exhibition, we encourage that participating artists sit for one shift at the gallery. A schedule of the same will be made and shared amongst participating artists closer to the date, so as to choose their shifts. The guild is responsible of keeping the gallery opened, we can use all the help you can give us!
  • Artists have the option of selling their work. A price list of artwork will be available for interested patrons. Spinning Plate does not retain commission for artwork sold. Since this is a fundraiser, artists are asked (but not required) to donate a portion of their sales to Fiberart International.
Unsold artwork will remain the property of the artist.
  • For the journal, artists are required to provide a high quality digital image of their completed artwork along with a short statement about their piece (title of work, name of artist, inspiration, materials used, technique, etc.)
