Once they “have had a go at” these techniques they will make a two -part dress (bodice and skirt) using their favourite combination of techniques. The dresses will be hand stitched together and embellished with pockets\, collars\, buttons and handmade paper roses.  Jennifer will demonstrate paper pleating\, covered binding\, button loops\, pockets\, collars and patchworking papers to create the ‘fabric’ for your dress. She received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has exhibited nationally and abroad\, and her costumes have been commissioned by the Charlotte Ballet. Erika has had many artist residencies and has taught at Virginia Commonwealth University\, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design\, Appalachian Center for Craft and Penland School of Crafts.
